Confession(s)

1. I love reading blogs but feel weird about posting one of my own. I mean, what if people read it?
2. I only re-wrote one poem last week and must do better this week so I am saying so for accountability.
Okay, back at it.

  1. The main reason I created a blog a few years ago was so I would write everyday and so that people might wander across it and read it. It’s a way of letting go, letting your words out into the world, letting people comment, criticize, whatever they feel compelled to do. I spent a lot, A LOT of years filling up notebooks, keeping my words to myself. Blogging has definitely been a positive experience for me. My blog is a needlework journal more than anything but I do write about other things and I love it when someone makes that connection with something I’ve written.

  2. Blogging is weird. You sometimes get to feeling like you’re just posting a message for your pals and completley forget that other people can read it.

  3. you definitely have to be wanting to put yourself out there – really really out there. it’s great fun though – keep posting here! don’t think of it as only one rewrite – every rewrite is a move forward….and sometimes the tiniest ones take up the most time.

    :)

  4. I like what Melissa said — blogging is like writing something and waiting for someone, somewhere to read it maybe. It’s making yourself vulnerable, so thanks for being here!
